Seasonal Calendar

For this project you will need:
  • thick construction paper (colorful)
  • colorful paper
  • scissors
  • sctickers
  • markers
  • print up calendar for upcoming year
  • glue/tape

Steps:
 
1. Have your child pick out twelve large pieces of thick construction paper for each month of the year.
2. With the pre-printed calendar, have your child write each month at the top of each piece of paper.
3. On a piece of scratch paper, plan out each theme. Ex: January would have snowflakes.  February would have hearts.
4. With the colorful construction paper, cut out squares, circles, hearts, etc. for each day of the month. Example: February would have 28 hearts.
5. On the large construction paper, underneath the name of the month, write out each day of the week, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday etc. Make sure the days of the week are evenly spaced apart.
6. Look at your pre-printed calendar and place all cut-outs underneath the correct dates.
7. With your marker, label each day.
8. Decorate with stickers, glitter, markers or magazine cut-outs.
