Crazy Caterpillar

dsc_0080.jpg

For this project you will need:
  • egg carton (preferably cardboard)
  • paint
  • pipecleaners
  • "googly eyes" (optional)
  • construction paper
  • glitter
  • scissors
  • newpaper

Steps:

1. Have an adult cut the egg carton into individual strips, creating the body of the caterpillar.
2. Cover 'work area' with nespaper.
3. Turn egg strip over so that the holes where the egg would go are facing downward.
4. Paint the egg carton strip.
5. Have an adult poke holes into each individual "egg holder" on both sides, creating a place for a leg to go.
6. Have an adult cut 1 inch length pipecleaner 'legs'.
7. Stick pipecleaner legs into the already-made holes.
8. Stick "googly eyes" on one end of the caterpillar. You can also create eyes using construction paper and glue them onto one end of the caterpillar.
